You better get wise to Portugal. The Man, the Oregon-by-way-of-Alaska band behind the song ‘Feel It Still’.
Portugal. The Man’s latest album is called Woodstock, inspired by the historic festival and the idea that music is a viable tool to comment on societal and political unease.
You’ll see that sentiment expressed in their single ‘Feel It Still’, too. The song’s standout lyrics (like “I’m a rebel just for kicks now”) were purposefully written to reflect how they see political action in the United States when citizens hold passionate political beliefs without voting or vote strictly based on party affiliation, and how the two party system puts some politicians at a disadvantage.
