One Direction member Niall Horan is working on his first new songs since the group announced its hiatus in January.
Wayne Hector, who wrote One Direction’s “Best Song Ever,” “Steal My Girl” and “History,” corfirmed he has been writing with the pop superstar.
“We’re writing together, but Niall wants to do it for himself and not other people at the moment,” Horan said. We have no idea where we’ll end up.” Horan and Hector have registered a song entitled ’Don’t Give Up On Our Love’ with songwriting organization ASCAP. Frequent Ed Sheeran co-writer Jake Gosling is also a writer on the song.
Horan isn’t the only one headed in a new direction. Reportedly, Harry Styles wants to leave Simon Cowell’s record label Syco. Styles is currently filming his first acting role, playing a soldier alongside Mark Rylance and Kenneth Branagh in ‘The Dark Knight” director Christopher Nolan’s World War II film ‘Dunkirk.”
In addition, Liam Payne has been in the studio with Juicy J. and Zayn Malik, who quit One Direction in March 2015, reached number one in the UK and U.S. with his single “Pillowtalk” and album Mind Of Mine.
